Travel Advice

The current Department of Foreign Affairs travel advice is available here. Given the still high rates of Covid infection, the Department continues to advise against all non-essential travel to Switzerland at this time. We will provide travel updates also by Twitter. 

As of 12 January 2021, travellers from Ireland to Switzerland must quarantine for 10 days upon arrival.

In order to provide a safe environment for our staff and our visitors, and adhering to public health advice in Switzerland, the Embassy is operating through a combination of remote working and a reduced presence in the Embassy.  Our public office is available by appointment only. We apologise for the inconvenience and request the kind understanding and cooperation of the public.

Passport Services

We would encourage all those resident in Switzerland and Liechtenstein who require a passport to apply using the Passport Online service.
