On 9st April, the Irish Department of Health classified Kenya as a ‘Category 2’ country. Any passenger who has been to Kenya in the previous 14 days, even if only transiting through and even if remaining airside, is legally required to quarantine at a designated facility (mandatory hotel quarantine) on arrival in Ireland. This applies even if the passenger receives a negative RT-PCR test result after arriving in the State. There are very limited exemptions to this requirement. For further information, please see gov.ieMandatory Hotel Quarantine for those travelling from Kenya will be effective from 04:00hrs Thursday 15th April.

Please be aware that all passengers arriving in Ireland will require a Negative COVID – PCR test certificate, taken within 72 hours of arrival in Ireland. Children aged six and under are except.
